Unprotected, high drain 3*18650 batteries (not included) including the flat top and button top work only, protected cells won't work.
1. The light is with the clear optics by default, if you need the frosted optics, please send us an email.
2. RGB button is not compatible.
3. 3*18650 cells in series, dual boost driver, dual channel, 2A per LED.
4. Anduril 2 firmware by default, the new UI has 5 modes (3C when the light is on to change the modes)
A. Channel 1 only
B. Channel 2 only
C. Both (allows for full power, act as a single channel light)
D. Manual blend (tint ramping)
E. Automatic blend

I have 3 M43 Meteors, this is a worthy successor, a little lighter in weight and a little brighter (depending on emitter choice). However, D18 (which I don't have) appears to be much brighter, but that light has no lighted switch and no Blinkies, i.e., if you drop it in the dark when it's off, you have no light to help you find it. Maybe Hank will fix that.
If you are like me you've been trying to save as much electricity as you can especially during the cold winter months which for me at least involvs using the mains lights at home as less as possible. I wasn't too sure to order this light as it looks very similar to my existing D19 which is still going strong after a couple of years of hard use but the channel switching and Anduril 2 interface were too tempting plus the usage of the new boost driver. I went for an all W2 combination as I love the beam pattern of the W2 and for my use case its very practical in lighting up different sized rooms at home without stepping down. The boost driver is amaizing runtimes on 3 Samsung 3000 Mah cells gets me through a couple of days without a recharge with roughly 2 hours usage per day whereas my D19 needs recharging every day plus the M44 accepts flat-tops as well as button tops but please ensure the 3 18650s you are using are within several MV of each other. The O-leads are brillient along with the lighted switch and as others have said moon mode is brighter on this light due to the nature of the boost driver but I actually prefer it this way. If you want pure wow factor go for the D19 but if you want a more practical runtime then Hank has hit this one perfectly on the head. The beauty of the M44 is you can use either channel for specific use-cases or enable both channels which act like a traditional light this is 100% a daily driver and keeper.
I'd like to give a huge thanks to all who made this light possible from the design to the coding.
