NTG35 LEDs are recommended for good tint, beam pattern, high CRI and free of greenish tint.
Noctigon KR4 puts a high lumen output but generates a lot of heat at the same time, please acknowledge before purchasing. Unprotected, flat top 18650 battery works only (not included in the price), KR4 does not work with protected battery.
The Lume X1 boost driver upgrade is available for the Luminous SST-20, SFT-25R, Nichia 219B R9080, Nichia 519A R9080, NTG35, UV LEDs etc, 3 Amps per LED (UV LED is 1.2 per one). The boost driver is not compatible with Nichia E21A, Nichia E17A. Note that the boost driver output is limited in comparison to the default driver, it is more efficient (90-95%) with a longer running time and less heat.
The Lume X1 is a high power driver - for best performance, recommended to use low ESR, high CDR 18650 unprotected cells: - Molicel P30B, P28B, P28A, P26A (grey) - LG HJ2 (lilac), HG2 (brown) - Samsung 20S (blue), 30Q (pink) - BAK N18650CNP (pink) - Murata/Sony VTC5A (green) Please note that this flashlight is not a toy and must be operated responsibly.

Lost my dark gray linear 219b 4500 and bought the same one to replace it. I never want to leave it at home or use my other flashlights now because of this KR4.
Awesome flashlight super quality super bright amazing work love it thank you !!!
This is my first "Hank light" and it's FREAKING AWESOME! It's opened up a whole new world for me!
I have this in the same emitter as a other lights, the SST-20 4000K 95CRI and it works great. The driver is better in this light than the D4V2 driver. It runs longer and is more steady in output. More efficient.
My only complaint with this light is it's a bit plain. It seems like it was designed to fill a tailswitch space in the lineup. It's not really special to me like Hank's other designs. It's sleek, but I like the busy, knurled look of the rest of the lineup. I'm not in love with the button's action either. It seems loose, but it has held up, sp it's just the feel of the button, not the durability.
Those opinions of mine about the design aside, this is a great light functionally. I find it less useful in the 18350 mode than the D4V2 because it gets weird actuating the tail button with the little tube and there is no magnetic tail which I think really works good on the D4V2.
Side note, this may be the perfect off-hand light when using another tool in your primary hand. You can hold it up high with your thumb on the button. This is my primary use for this light with the 18650 tube.
Even a B+ Hank effort is an A++ compared to other brands. This only pales in comparison to the venerable D4V2.
Very nice EDC I love it
Just bought my 4th in a different configuration. Perfect flood for everyday carry. 18350 option makes storage even more convenient, while barely sacrificing power and endurance. I work in a rough environment. Things fall out of pockets and off of ladders all of the time. These lights could probably take a bullet and still work. Kudos! Amazing products!
This light is overbuilt not overpriced. Gives so many options to different uses cases (high cri to spaceship landing light, its possible). Beautiful addition to any edc collection built for daily use.
Its a pocket lightsaber and you wont regret it(as long as you dont shine it in your eyes!) I Big time recommend this light to anyone ready to carry a high powered beautiful light.
Love this light.....KR4- XP-L HI V3 3A
